First Impressions
- It was enclosed in a strong box and was kept safe inside a cover.
- It is made of Cast Iron
- It is strong, Long-lasting, and well-made.
Features and Specifications
- It has a 24 cm diameter.
- It is perfect for making medium size dosas.
- Because Cast Iron spreads heat evenly across the surface, dosas will cook uniformly.
- Moreover, Dosas don’t stick to Tawa because its surface is non-sticky.
Usage Experience
- I have been using Cast Iron Tawa for Three months and it performs wonderfully.
- I can easily make soft dosa, Uttapam, and crispy dosa on it.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- So far, I never experienced rusting on it.
- However, If you experience rusting gently scrub the Tawa with dishwashing soap, dry it with a kitchen towel, and apply a little oil.
Important Note
- For best results, you must make dosa batter with the correct proportion of Rice and Urad Dal.
- If the batter is not prepared well, it will stick to the Tawa.

Comparison
- Previously I used nonstick Tawa but I found it is very unhealthy as it contains Aluminium and long-term use of Aluminium utensils causes Alzheimer’s disease, Gastrointestinal issues, and digestive discomfort.
- In contrast, Futura Cast Iron Dosa Tawa requires a very small amount of oil.

- While Cast Iron Dosa Tawa is heavier than Aluminum dosa Tawa, but still, we can still handle and use it without much difficulty.
- If you face rusting issues, clean Cast Iron Dosa Tawa and dry it well.
- Additionally, the Metal handles on both sides are not comfortable to hold and get hot.
